I don't even know where to begin: Radio host Russ Martin fired from Live 105.3FM
I knew that CBS was in the process of a major nose dive. But what do you expect from idiot management. Lets review, shall we?
- Let Stern go (no big deal to me I did not really like his show after he got divorced)
- Replaced Stern with David Lee Roth. Really?
- Fired Don "Nappy Headed Ho" Imus and then paid him $20 million for breach of contract or something
- Renamed their stations to "Live!". Never mind that most of their content sucks, just slap on some new paint and listeners will tune in.
Which brings us to their choice in Dallas - we'll change formats! Right. So you are going to go toe to toe with ESPN and expect to come out on top?
It will be interesting to see what Russ does. The formula to the show is pretty specific. The whole club house thing is based on the characters he has assembled, the hierarchy, the FCC, management, and so on. There are a lot of different parts. I suppose different pieces can be changed but it will change the flavor of the show.
Anyway - I hope this is just a bit. But given the above list - CBS is stupid enough to pull something like this. Guess I'll listen to more podcasts now.
