Reading InstaPundit this morning I followed two links from him about Sales (Black Friday II):
· After-Christmas Sales Hope to Lure Shoppers
· Phony post-xmas sales
This isn’t really surprising in my opinion. Disappointing sure, but not surprising. So if the sale doesn’t work for you should you be upset? Do we need to keep buying stuff? How much stuff is enough? maybe not buying stuff you don’t really need is a good idea. Do you really need a plasma display in every room of the house? How much crap do we really need to buy? Not to go all spiritual but is happiness really found at the checkout stand?
How about just playing a game with your kids and finding happiness there? I hear Scrabble is pretty damn cheap. Probably find it at a yard sale for a nickel. How is that for a mark down?
